Catering

The North Tyneside Steam Railway operates the Tearoom at the entrance to the museum building. The railway’s Catering Department continually needs more enthusiastic volunteers with a passion for food who are prepared to be on the front line to the visitors and provide excellent customer service whilst serving food and drinks to the railway’s visitors and passengers.

 

Waggonway Tearoom

The Waggonway Tearoom is the welcoming face of the museum, serving hot drinks, cakes, sandwiches, soup and much more to visitors throughout the day. Waggonway Tearoom volunteers work in groups of two to four; working the till, making hot drinks, serving food and washing up. Working in the Waggonway Tearoom is a great way to meet new people and there are many skills, such as dealing with customers and food preparation, to be learnt.
